big trips, grad school, and birthdays.

New York was a fun a trip. I was glad when it was over though- I missed David terribly and I felt so small in such a big city. So many things happen at once, all around, and there were so many smells...every step I took came with a new smell. I almost gagged a few times. Jaymi's wedding was beautiful, they're so in love. I'm very happy for them. She married a Dr.! Marrying a doctor is something every girl jokes about..but she really did it. Kosj is from Ghana Africa. He came here to study and became a doctor and has done a lot of medical research. He's currently getting his MD and now doing his residency. He got his doctorate for medical research before becoming an MD-- I think that's how it goes. Anyway, it was a beautiful wedding and I was happy to be there. It was also while I was in New York that I found out CSULB was interested in me for the advanced standing program for my Master's of Social Work. So...MSW here I come. I came home from NY to beautiful lilies and a Vera Bradley backpack- I have the most wonderful husband in the world! Our lives are definitely different and more busy. This time next year, I'll have my degree and we'll be making big big plans! This next year will be interesting...my school is really liberal and "politically correct" which I find exhausting. I guess this is the part where I rely on my undergrad teachings...I'm really thankful for my education at Southeastern.

David is applying for jobs for nights and weekends. I'm not home as much as I used to be (obviously) so he would rather work than sit around at home. I think he's really interested in Home Depot. We'll see. I'm proud of him. He's been really great and very supportive of me. I just love him.

We continue to go to our favorite puppy store. We went to a new one and they wanted $4,000 for a bull dog. Our favorite store charges $2,800. Horses are cheaper than bulldogs. Unbelievable.

That's it for now. David will post about his birthday. It was a fun one!!!! One of his prizes was the movie Lonesome Dove. We went to sleep watching Lonesome Dove and we woke up watching Lonesome Dove. David loves it. It wears me out. We go to the Sumo Wrestling tournament tonight- We're very excited.

Cheerio!
